The Mozambique Gas Summit & Exhibition, taking place in October, will cover the latest developments in the country’s gas industry. The event, which is being organised by the CWC Group, in partnership with Mozambique’s national hydrocarbon’s company ENH, will provide roundtable discussions about industry trends, a three-day exhibition, as well as events such as the University Essay Contest.

4th annual mozambique gas summitThe country’s gas industry is growing in light of the announcement of Mozambique’s first deep water gas field development. The Coral South floating LNG facility will be the first of its kind for Mozambique and marks the start of an implementation phase for the industry. Mozambique’s government expects to see a number of other deals to move from planning into development over the next few years.

Speakers at the Summit include Leticia Deusina da Silva Klemens, Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy; Dr. Vasco Nhabinde, Director of Directorate of Economic and Finance Studies, Ministry of Economy and Finance; Dr. Omar Mithá, Chairman and CEO of ENH; and Dr. Carlos Zacarias, President of INP. They will provide an update on the Coral South FLNG project as well as insight into topics such as financing Mozambique’s energy future.

The Summit, to be held from 18 to 20 October in Maputo, has been widely supported by industry stakeholders, including ExxonMobil, Anadarko & Mozambique LNG, BP, TechnipFMC, SASOL, Siemens and Alugas. The event will feature the Outstanding Women Forum, with Graça Machel as Guest of Honour.

There will be an exciting focus on the implementation of the gas and LNG projects, and the important position that Mozambique will play as a key global gas and LNG producer,” says the Mozambiquan Minister of Mineral Resources and Energy.
