Grove Dealer CLT (Crane Load Technology) has expanded its plans to connect with customers and feature the newest Grove all-terrain cranes in South Africa.
On January 27, the company will host a handover ceremony to celebrate the delivery of a Grove GMK5250L to a company that is one of the world’s largest diamond miners and is currently working at a mine in Botswana. After the ceremony the crane will drive directly to the mine.
On March 24, the company will host an open house to launch the Grove GMK4100L-1. Holger Haber, product manager for all-terrain cranes at Manitowoc, will address the 100 or so visitors expected at the event.
The 100 t GMK4100L-1 is a new long boom crane, featuring a 60 m boom, the best load charts in its class and a narrow 2,55 m width. The 250 t capacity GMK5250L is said to be one of the most powerful and versatile five-axle cranes on the market. It features the innovative VIAB turbo clutch, which offers several benefits, including wear-free starting and braking, as well as reduced fuel consumption.
CLT was established in 1988 and is southern Africa’s only licensed Grove crane dealer.
