Construction World

If a picture is worth a thousand words, then now is the time for members get out their cameras and snap photographs of this year’s very best projects for the MBA North Photo Competition.

Not only will members be able to show-off their proudest projects, but two winners will also stand a chance of winning over R30 000 worth of prizes. Front-runner will also win bragging-rights to showcase their project pictures on the MBA North Annual Report, as well as the Membership Directory front covers. In addition, they will receive a free profile in the directory, as well as three months free advertising on the MBA North Website

In order to stand a chance of winning, photographers should put in their best effort to photograph structures in good light (usually early morning or late afternoon) without too much shadow that can hide some of the important detail. Efforts should also be made to balance the photograph and include all elements of the building (e.g. paving up to the entrance, walls, facades and roof structure). They should also be in crisp focus and should be entered in high resolution.

The competition is now open and will run through to the closing date on 4 November 2016.

To enter, simply upload your photo to the Master Builders’ Association North Facebook (@MBANorth) or Twitter (@MBANorth) page. Alternatively send an email to Boitumelo@mbanorth.co.za. All entries must include the mandatory hashtag #MBANorthComp
