Motheo Infrastructure Contractors has appointed Lebogang Mashele as its business development manager. It forms part of the Motheo Construction Group, a leading black-female empowered construction company.
Mashele has a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering – Construction Management from the University of South Africa (Unisa), and a National Diploma in Civil Engineering from the Tshwane University of Technology.
She is affiliated with the Engineering Council of South Africa (ECSA) and the South African Institution of Civil Engineers (SAICE). She has successfully completed an ISO 9001: 2008 series internal auditor training course.
Mashele’s extensive career experience includes Junior Business Development Manager, Site Engineer, and Contract Engineer at Franki Africa, Quality Civil Inspector at Bureau Veritas, and Quality Engineer at DEKRA Industrial.
“We welcome Mashele to the Motheo family, and are positive that her professionalism, positive attitude, energy, and good work ethic will go a long way to energise the business in her demanding new role,” Motheo Infrastructure Contractors CEO Archie Rutherford comments.
The Motheo Construction Group’s twenty-year model of transforming into a truly-empowered company is not only a first for the South African construction industry, but sets a benchmark globally, according to founder Dr. Thandi Ndlovu, who established the company in 1997 to focus initially on housing projects. In this regard, it comprises six black female shareholders with a majority stake.
