International Consulting Engineering Company Royal HaskoningDHV has appointed Salani Sithole as Managing Director for its South African operations with effect from 1 March 2015. Mr Sithole has been with the company for six years. With his wide spectrum of knowledge and experience, as well as his thorough understanding of the company Mr Sithole is well placed to further develop the South African operations.
Prior to joining Royal HaskoningDHV Mr Sithole held various positions in a broad range of fields, including engineering consulting, municipal, power and rail engineering as well as business development. He was a senior manager in PRASA, Transnet, Eskom and the City of Johannesburg.
Mr Sithole (seen right) holds a number of other positions; he is vice-chairperson for Southern African Netherlands Chamber of Commerce (SANEC South Africa); Chairperson for the Consulting Engineers South Africa (CESA) Transport Liaison Committee and board member for the Private Civil Engineering Testing Laboratory (Civilab).
Mr Sithole joined Royal HaskoningDHV as the Group Manager: Marketing & Business Development. Since then he has occupied a number of strategic roles required by the business to achieve and realise its objectives including: Group Manager: Strategic Project Development and Director Business Unit: Rail and Logistics.
