Growth in residential renovations will continue to peak in 2017.

The long-awaited revisions to the laws governing community housing schemes like townhouse complexes, retirement villages and residential estates recently became effective.


The South African economy grew at a much subdued 0,3% year-on-year in the first half of the year, with low growth in most sectors of the economy.

KJION Energy SA, a subsidiary of ICT Group Holdings and provider of solar photovoltaic (PV) solutions for home and industrial use, has set up a training and demonstration facility at its offices in Centurion. The facility incorporates solar panels linked up to several possible AC or DC (or both) inverters, chargers and deep-cycle batteries to demonstrate various products and options and to provide installation and product training.

Speaking at the recent Mayors, Executive Mayors and Speakers session, Galaletsang Gaolaolwe, MEC of Local Government and Human Settlements in Bokone Bophirima (formerly the North West province), has directed Mayors and Speakers to exercise their political oversight role over administration at their respective municipalities.
