Master Builders South Africa (MBSA), a federation of employers’ organisations, has issued a call for papers for its Congress taking place from 31 August to 02 September 2016.
MBSA is calling for those in the industry interested in presenting a paper, or suggesting a particular topic for presentation by any expert on the subject matter. The deadline for paper and/or topic submissions is Friday 15 April 2016.
Submissions should include the proposed topic, the subject of the paper or presentation, and the work on which it will be based if the individual proposing the topic is willing to present a paper. In addition, the topic should be accompanied by an outline of no more than 200 words, detailing the focus of the presentation.
According to MBSA, the length of the presentations will vary from 30 to 45 minutes, depending on where it is included in the programme. Proposals for papers on more than one topic may be submitted, and individuals may also propose no more than two topics that the Congress should cover even if they are not going to be presenting papers themselves.
Mandated to promote the viewpoints and interests of the industry, to promote the highest quality and standards, and to engage government and legislative bodies on national policies that affect the industry, for the purpose of creating a sustainable building industry in South Africa, MBSA’s 2016 Congress is themed “Building South Africa together”. The event will cover a wide spectrum of building industry matters, and will provide a platform for business, government and other stakeholders to discuss and focus on areas that are critical and necessary for building South Africa.
