Richmond Park in Cape Town is a world-class, mixed-use property development integrating retail, light industrial and office space in a secure, landscaped precinct. BEKA Schréder supplied the decorative street lighting solution for this prestigious project.

Decorative LED street lighting solution for Richmond Park

Situated just 17 km from the CBD on a prime Greenfields site adjacent to the N7 highway in Milnerton, Richmond Park will be developed on 84 ha of land as a landmark business park and mixed-use precinct consisting of retail, light industrial, commercial and warehousing property development.

To support Richmond Park’s image as an upmarket development, BEKA Schréder supplied the Hestia Mini LED 52 W street light on curved poles. The Hestia LED was the luminaire of choice for its performance and the various optics available to achieve the required road illumination levels. The Hestia LED is a luminaire of timeless shape, with the advantages of LED technology, of which energy-efficiency and low maintenance requirements are just two.

The LensoFlex®2 photometric engine allows for its photometry to be adapted to various applications. Further energy savings can be achieved if used in conjunction with BEKA Schréder’s Owlet control solutions. The luminaire is made from robust materials, ensuring resistance to environmental factors such as corrosion.

BEKA Schréder locally develops and manufactures LED lighting products, designed and suitable for local conditions. The company worked with Richmond Park Development Company (Pty) Ltd, Atterbury (Pty) Ltd and EIMAC Consulting Engineers to provide a successful, energy-efficient, LED lighting solution for this prominent project.
